Natural Beauty

Staying naturally beautiful yet with a glowing complexion and skin tone, black hair, eyes that speak the language of love, a tinge of innocence yet smart are a few attractive attributes that a man looks for in a woman, be it before marriage or after marriage or just to bird watch. And it is just as simple to maintain that natural beauty with the natural ingredients available in our kitchen. Just as the saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, “a grandma a house keeps the beauty parlour away.” How many of us have elders at home who advice on natural medicines and beauty? Quite a few, it is just that we simply lend deaf ears to what they say but spend thousands on advice from beauticians.

For a glowing and smooth, clear skin, here are a few tips that could make you look naturally young and beautiful:

  • Mash banana and add some milk to it, and apply to the face and neck. Leave it for about 20 minutes and wash with cold water.
  • Apply honey on the face and neck for sometime and wash off with cold water and feel the difference.
  • Take 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder and mix with orange juice to make a paste and apply on the face and neck. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash with cold water.
  • Mix mashed banana, honey, lemon juice and margarine and make a paste out of it. Apply on the face and neck and leave overnight, wash your face with cold water in the morning.
  • Boil cabbage in water and wash your face with that water.
  • Take a piece of papaya and rub on the face and neck for about 15 minutes and wash off with cold water.
  • Soak a small amount of masoor dhall in water overnight and grind it along with cold milk to make a paste. Apply regularly to face and neck atleast 3 times in a week for glowing results.

For ageing skin, try one of these tips to prevent wrinkles and circles on the skin, but bear in mind you can't prevent ageing in skin but at least could prolong the effects. Also, skin care should begin at quite an early stage for this.

  • Increase the blood circulation of your facial muscles by massaging which in turn helps keep the muscles and associated tissues intact thereby restoring the skin's tone and helps prevent wrinkles and other age-related skin issues.
  • Half cut a pineapple and rub the core of it on the face for about 10 minutes which should help control the fine lines in the face.
  • Applying castor oil can also help prevent wrinkles to a great extent.
  • Make a paste of turmeric powder with sugarcane juice, it works wonders for most of them in preventing wrinkles.
  • Cut grapes in half and crush the juice on your wrinkles on the face and allow it to dry naturally. They add to the glow as well as control wrinkles.
  • Or just simply apply lemon juice on the face a few times a day which is good for spots and blemishes on the face.

Many a people worry about pimples and marks on the face because of skin related problems like acne. Try out a few herbal treatments that cause no harm yet result oriented.

  • Mix honey and cinnamon powder to make a paste and apply on the pimples before going to bed, leave it overnight and wash your face in the morning with warm water. Repeat the same for about 2 weeks.
  • Make a paste from 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and apply on the acne spots. See results within weeks.
  • Powdered nutmeg with cold milk made into a paste and applied on the affected area is also known to bring good effects.
  • Rubbing fresh garlic on pimples and surrounding areas regularly helps clear marks.
  • Make a paste of ground orange peel in water and apply around pimples to clear them.
  • To prevent pimples, wrinkles, blackhead, etc, apply a paste of fresh methi leaves everynight for about 10-15 minutes and wash with luke warm water.

Isn't it amazing to know how much our traditional values contribute to today's beauty world. So stay herbal and glow natural.
